Well, I made it to the dance in Kona in October 2007. It was a tough day, and I had a great time on the Big Island. I've definitely gone from one extreme to the other, as I haven't been training and races are the last thing on my mind these days. Jo and I are both working hard at our respective companies and enjoying the days in SF.

The updates have been sparse and I've actually removed most of the content. Between our wedding, work, and Ironman training, I just haven't had the time.

At the end of August, I spent 6 days white water rafting, hiking, and camping in Grand Canyon National Park. It was one of the best experiences I've had. I highly recommend the Arizona Raft Adventures All Paddle Trips. Ask for BJ Boyle as your guide!

Joanne and I got engaged yesterday, Saturday July 23rd. We watched Lance seal the deal for #7 in the early morning, rode the Ross / Nicassio out and back, and then had brunch at the Half Day Cade. On the way back to SF, we drove Alpine Dam/Seven Sisters, stopping towards the top of Mt. Tam. With a perfect view of the city and Bay, I took a knee, presented the ring, and asked her to marry me. She said YES! and we are happyily engaged. Check out the latest updates on joannepons.com.
